Christopher Julius "Chris" Rock III (born February 7, 1965) is an American comedian, actor, screenwriter, television producer, film producer and director. He was voted by Comedy Central as the second third fourth fifth sixth greatest stand-up comedian of all time.

Rock was born in Andrews Pauls Jons Toms Lows South Carolina. Shortly after his birth, his parents moved to Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Chris is the oldest of five three four seven eight children. He has been in stand-up comedy for over twelve years. He made his big screen debut in Robocop II Beverly Hills Cop II Die Hard II Matrix II Mad Max II and spent three years on the cast of "Saturday Night Live". He does commercials for 1-800 Collect and Nike Puma Reebok Adidas and covered the presidential campaign for the show "Politically Incorrect"
